Not one more vet.
Not one more veterinarian or veterinary health care provider should take their life as a result of the many stressors encountered in their chosen profession which -- for many of them -- had been a dream of theirs since childhood. As a veterinarian who has recently experienced the physical, mental, and emotional challenges that have existed in the veterinary medicine profession since before the pandemic, I want to do my small part to help make the hope of #NotOneMoreVet a reality.
It is for this reason I am training to complete Ironman Wisconsin on September 10, 2023. I have partnered with Ironman Foundation and their "Your Journey, Your Cause" program to help raise money (hopefully A LOT of it!) for Not One More Vet (NOMV). Not One More Vet is a non-profit organization founded on October 1, 2014 by Dr. Nicole McArthur following the suicide of world-renowned veterinarian and animal behaviorist, Dr. Sophia Yin.
Every dollar that you contribute in support of my endeavor will help NOMV continue their critical work surrounding wellbeing, mental health, and self-care among all veterinary health care providers. Without a solid foundation in these vital prerequisites, our veterinary health care providers will not be able to achieve true success in their chosen profession.
Please follow along with me on my Ironman Journey on Instagram (search for me as "Ironman Pet Vet") and PLEASE share my story with as many friends and family as possible! I promise I won't let you down on September 10th, and every one of you will be with me as I swim, bike, and run 140.6 miles to the finish line that day.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donation!
