In honor of my wife, who is fighting for her life through various leukemias and had a stem cell transplant 4/1/22, within a 30 day period July 9- August 6 2023 I have decided to race 2 IRONMAN events  (Geneva, NY and a Lake Placid New York, an open water swim race of 750 meters, and Age Group Nationals 2 weeks later competing in both the Olympic and Sprint distances over two days (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), in the hopes of raising $50,000.00 which will fund 1,200.00 testing kits. Pam is way tougher than any IRONMAN I know, battling pain and ups and downs every day, but we will get to the finish line. IRONMAN has agreed to donate anything over $1,850 to www.DKMS.org  who helps find stem cell donors. Please help me reach my goal!  An IRONMAN is a 2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike and marathon. A 70.3 is half that distance. Phew!

Read more about my story "Malvern Husband Competes in Triathlons for Blood Cancer Patients" and "Labor of Love".

If you want to join the registry click below for a free testing kit to be sent to you its just a simple cheek swab.

Each year, a select group of athletes from around the world race on TEAM IMF to support the mission of the IRONMAN Foundation. Together, we share a passion to create positive tangible change in our race communities and prove that "Anything Is Possible."

In 2023, we are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the IRONMAN Foundation! Since 2003, over $55 million has been provided through the IRONMAN Foundation's charitable giveback programs to more than 10,000 local, regional, national and global nonprofit initiatives. Through these partnerships, IRONMAN athletes are powerfully linked to the community and together we leave the IRONMAN legacy behind in our race communities long after race day. We #RaceForMore.
